Hydrogen production via gasification of corn cob catalyzed by NiO-loaded palygouskite in microwave reactor

The hydrogen production via gasification from corn cob is performed in a microwave heating reactor with NiO-loaded palygorskite powder as catalysts by using the catalytic pyrolysis of biomass technology. The influences of microwaves power, the NiO loading of catalysts and the amount of catalyst on the catalytic gasification composition are studied. The optimal operating conditions to obtain highest hydrogen yield is shown as follows: 1 000 W of the microwaves power, 18% of the NiO loading and 2 g of the amount of catalysts.
