dc.description.abstract

This thesis presents the process and impact evaluation of an on-line programme in chronic care self-management developed for healthcare professionals. Student’s attitudes toward and confidence in facilitating self-management and their level satisfaction with the programme were measured via a pre-post survey.Although overall attitudes deteriorated, confidence significantly increased, and satisfaction with programme accessibility, format and structure was very high. The findings support the argument for the programmes inclusion into chronic disease self-management curricula.
