Changes in Char Structure and Reactivity during the Gasification of Low Rank Fuels
MetadataShow full item record
Gasification-based technologies are at the core of many low emission technologies for the utilisation of low-rank fuels, such as brown coal and sub-bituminous coal. This study focuses on the evolution of char structure and its reactivity during the gasification of low-rank fuels. The kinetic parameters and the volatilisation of inherent metallic species are examined as well to provide further insights into the gasification mechanisms.

Zhang, Y.; Wang, Y.; Cai, L.; Yao, C.; Gao, S.; Li, Chun-Zhu; Xu, G. (2013)Via isolating the fuel pyrolysis and char gasification, the so-called dual bed pyrolysis gasification (DBPG) was proposed to realize the co-production of pyrolysis products and gasification gas. The process simulation ...
Effect of Alkali and Alkaline Earth Metallic Species on Biochar Reactivity and Syngas Compositions during Steam GasificationYip, Kong; Tian, Fujun; Hayashi, J.; Wu, Hongwei (2010)Biochars were prepared from the pyrolysis of the wood, leaf, and bark components of mallee biomass in a fixed-bed reactor at 750 °C. The results show that the volatilization of inherent alkali and alkaline earth metallic ...
