dc.description.abstract

This PhD addressed two research questions. How has climate change affected an Australian fishing community? What methodologies are effective in working with fishing communities to understand the role of climate change? Innovative, collaborative methods were successful in co-producing knowledge with fishers, scientists, managers, creatives and researchers about climate change. The action-research built on social theory and documented a cascade of climate change impacts at the Abrolhos Islands including the collapse of the iconic community.
