    Abstract

Palaeoenvironmental conditions spanning the Early Triassic (Induan-Olenekian) boundary in the northern onshore, Perth Basin were established using a complete organic geochemical, biomarker and compound specific isotopic analysis of hydrocarbons for the Senecio-1 drill core. An offline sampling technique was developed to determine the gas yields and their δ13C values in duplicate generated by an artificial maturation method of kerogen from the Kockatea Shale (Perth Basin, WA).
