Mechanical Properties for Buton Asphalt - Aggregates Mixes
MetadataShow full item record
The objectives of this research are to study the effect on the resistant to permanent deformation and fatigue cracking of asphalt mixtures using granular Buton Rock Asphalt (BRA) modifier binder. The BRA modified binder was formed by replacing 10, 20 and 30% of the base binder C-170 with BRA natural binder. The results of this study show that BRA modified asphalt mixtures performed better than unmodified asphalt mixtures with regard to permanent deformation and fatigue cracking.

An evaluation of the suitability of SUPERPAVE and Marshall asphalt mix designs as they relate to Thailand’s climatic conditionsJitsangiam, Peerapong; Chindaprasirt, P.; Nikraz, Hamid (2013)The most commonly-used asphalt mix design in Thailand still relies on the Marshall Mix design procedure which is empirical in its nature, in the sense that it is based on data produced by experiment and observation rather ...
Nega, Ainalem; Nikraz, Hamid; Leek, Colin (2013)The use of full-depth asphalt pavement to construct and rehabilitate heavily loaded urban roads has grown rapidly in Western Australia over the past three years. Five different types of asphalt mixes were produced in the ...
Developing Master Curves, Binder Viscosity and Predicting Dynamic Modulus of Polymer-Modified Asphalt MixturesNega, Ainalem; Ghadimi, Behzad; Nikraz, Hamid (2015)The complex moduli relationship related mixture moduli to temperature and time rate of loading has been an integral part of several mechanistic-empirical (M-E) design procedures used throughout of the world. Seven asphalt ...
