As FIFO/DIDO/Residential commuting arrangements continue to grow, it is critical that the impact of such arrangements on the WLB of tradespeople be investigated. Using mixed methods, the current research involved mine employees working as tradespeople on different roster models. Survey data was collected from 181 participants, followed by interviews from 15 couples. The findings indicate that most tradespeople felt that FIFO, DIDO and Residential forms of commute arrangements had an impact on their WLB.
