    Abstract

Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs) are short duration (~ 1 ms), highly dispersed radio pulses from astronomical sources. The physical interpretation for FRBs remains unclear, but is thought to involve highly compact objects hosted in galaxies at cosmological distances. We have conducted targeted experiments of extragalactic sources and Galactic regions, searching for the characteristic signatures of FRBs. This thesis summarises the outcomes of the present work, challenges faced, and methodologies developed to meet those challenges.
