Assessing executive attention in human is of paramount importance in understanding the development of critical neural pathways of the brain. In particular, it deals with one’s ability to monitor and resolve cognitive conflicts. In the literature, the efficiency of the executive attention is widely assessed based on the conflict-related changes in the behavioural data. In this thesis, we introduce a new data-driven approach, which exploits Electroencephalography (EEG) coherency to study the topography and efficiency of the executive attention. | en_US |
