This study investigates the design practice in which architects and designers explore opportunities for performing architectural upcycling. It was found that to decrease incidences of design abandonment, failure or poor outcomes, the activity requires an approach different from traditional design. By recognising this, the thesis identifies relevant factors of interference, formalises the process structure and establishes support, by offering an original theoretical framework and a supporting model towards a more conscious, effective and efficient process. | en_US |
