    Abstract

The objective of this thesis is the optimisation of LNG plant to achieve efficient performance and low operating cost. In this regard, the whole different schemes of LNG production were investigated and optimum scheme was selected, the whole process was simulated by ASPEN HYSYS software. Since liquefaction and fractionation units are critical, these unit were optimised with particle swarm and genetic algorithms by MATLAB programming language software. The final results of optimisation algorithms were compared and the optimum design variables were specified.
