This thesis empirically examines three distinct but interrelated bank liquidity topics. In the first study, the impact of bank capital on the relationship between bank liquidity creation and bank failure risk is explored. The second study determines whether government bailout policy affects the liquidity holdings and liquidity creation of banks, whilst the third study investigates the effect of social capital on bank liquidity holdings. | en_US |
