This thesis aims to develop a core-scale mechanistic model for sandstone acidizing using computational fluid dynamics method. A preliminary screening of different acid is carried out comprehensively through literature survey. The numerical modelling study has explored the potential of fluoroboric acid to be used at elevated temperature condition. The optimization study conducted using response surface methodology has proven the significance of formation temperature, acid concentration and acid injection rate on the sandstone acid stimulation performance. | en_US |
