This thesis presents for the first time, the details of extensive numerical and experimental evaluations of effectiveness of thickened associate gas injectionat high temperature for miscible gas floodingwith specific focus on FieldAlocated in southern Oman. The study has identified commercialand safe gas thickeners capable of increasing viscosity of injected gas. It hasalso proposedanovel alternating injection technique that canlower the volume of thickeners usedduringfield-scale applications. | en_US |
