Abstract
Gasification-based technologies are at the core of many low emission technologies for the utilisation of low-rank fuels including biomass. This study focuses on the fundamental understanding of the kinetic compensation effects during the gasification of biochar with different gasifying agents. The kinetic compensation effects are examined together with structural properties of char to provide further insights into the char gasification mechanisms. The findings will contribute to the development of green bioenergy technologies.
