The State of Design is a not-for-profit advocacy group for the design industry. The author has founded the group and developed a brand identity using responsive typography, authored in Python and Drawbot to animate a variable font. The animation is then post-produced in Photoshop and published on the blog platform Wordpress. The State of Design draws together leaders in research and industry for improved understanding on the impact and value of design-led innovation, drawing on the work of the InVision (2019), Heskett (2018), McKinsey (2018) and the Design Management Institute (2018, 2015).
