An oxidative precipitation technique using potassium permanganate was explored for the removal of manganese from pregnant leach solution (PLS) generated from the pressure acid leaching (PAL) of nickel laterite ores. The results revealed that the right combination of pH and molar ratio is important in order to achieve maximum removal of manganese (II) with minimum nickel (II) and cobalt (II) losses. | en_US |
