dc.description.abstract

This research seeks to explore identity work processes among women academics in relation to their career and their underrepresentation in senior academic positions at Indonesian public universities. The research results revealed that identity work process is a rhizomatic movement and this movement in identity work processes generated multiple career trajectories among women academics. Also, explained the problem of underrepresentation in senior academic positions by using Deleuze and Guattari’s concepts (rhizome, major/minor discourses, deterritorialisation and reterritorialisation).
