dc.description.abstract

Models to estimate UCS, Young’s modulus and tensile strength in Fortescue Metals Group Marra Mamba Cloudbreak and Christmas Creek iron ore were created. They use grade, density and shear velocity to provide detailed rock strength values to mine schedules. New methods to convert MASW to ultrasonic Vs and a new approach to increase standardisation of rock strength models are presented.
