dc.description.abstract |
Top-bar defects in reinforced concrete are voids that are observed below the reinforcing bars that are at an elevation of more than 300 mm, which reduces the bond strength and accelerates the corrosion process of reinforced concrete. Ultrasonic wave-based non-destructive methods have been developed to (i) detect the top-bar effect in reinforced concrete and (ii) discern and monitor the corrosion process in reinforced concrete with and without the top-bar effects. | en_US |
