dc.description.abstract

This research details simulation studies and laboratory tests that were conducted to conceptually design aspects of a prompt gamma neutron activation (PGNA) logging while drilling (LWD) tool that would be able to identify elemental compositions of rocks. The proposed tool would pave the way for automated geological logging in diamond drilling holes.
