    Abstract

Childhood and adolescent overweight and obesity is a public health concerns globally. The prevalence and the burden of overweight status and obesity is experienced significantly in the gulf countries including KSA. Therefore, this research aims to close the gap of limited knowledge on school-based studies that focus on the school environment and involve teachers and students in exploring the barriers and enablers for implementing strategies in schools for promoting nutrition and physical activity in KSA.
