dc.description.abstract

This study examines the influence of the board's involvement in strategic decision-making and big data analytics investments in facilitating the association between board capital and firm performance. The findings of this study provide a theoretical contribution by extending the understanding of co-optation and organisation performance in resource dependence theory. The findings offer a significant interest to Malaysian policymakers in deliberating policy concerning the board's role as a governance mechanism in strengthening the corporate governance structure.
