dc.description.abstract

BI systems are being implemented without much consideration to explicitly promoting SCP patterns. Using mixed method approach, this thesis identifies and verifies that lack of structured metrics along with difficulty in transforming SCP strategies to usable data models impede BI systems in doing so. This thesis, therefore, proposes a list of 56 SCP strategies followed by a conceptual data modelling framework of Sustainable BI System (SBIS) and a Data Flow Diagram (DFD) that can be adopted in promoting SCP patterns.
