dc.description.abstract

This work presents a comprehensive review of the evolution of MEG regeneration systems over the years. Test methods for MRU MEG assay using the ion chromatography (IC) technique were developed. The effect of MEG on calcium solubility is reported as well as the oxidative stability of MEG under MRU conditions. Furthermore, the corrosive behaviour of thermally degraded MEG is reported with the effects of produced organic acid on the CO2 corrosion of carbon steel.
