dc.description.abstract

The efficacy of two essential oils as natural ethylene hormone antagonists was evaluated in reducing the rate of ethylene production and maintaining fruit quality in stored organic apple fruits. The outcomes showed that the essential oils in combination with different storage regimes can maintain the quality and extend the shelf life of organic apples.
