Abstract
This thesis conducts prestressing force quantification and structural condition monitoring of prestressed segmental concrete beams. Experimental studies on three prestressed segmental concrete beams with different joint types connected by different types of tendons are conducted. Numerical models of the tested beams are developed. Identification of damage severity and damage localization are conducted. The results demonstrate that the proposed approaches can determine the location and assess the extent of structural damage in prestressed segmental concrete beams.
