Abstract
Community engagement (CE) is one approach to prevent and control malaria in an endemic area. Using a mixed methods approach, including a scoping review, spatial analysis, one-on-one interviews, an intervention was designed and delivered in a remote Nepalese village, by the community for the community. The malaria prevention intervention included engagement, partnerships, social mobilisation, and advocacy strategies. This CE approach can guide future practice and policy to achieve malaria elimination targets in high-risk areas.
