Abstract
The doctoral thesis investigates ionogel and eutectogel electrolytes obtained by confining ionic liquids (ILs), natural deep eutectic solvents (NADESs), or an IL-based DES within titania or silica matrices. Using various characterization techniques, the study examines their morphological, structural, thermal, and electrochemical properties. Assessment of their practicality as solid electrolytes in supercapacitors reveals that titania-tethered IL-based eutectogels provide the most cost-effective and high-performance option, offering good capacitance and conductivity with excellent stability even at elevated temperatures.
