Abstract
The studies presented in this thesis informed and evaluated a new intervention to improve adherence to guideline-advocated management in general practice for patients with HF. This intervention, evaluated in a randomised controlled trial, resulted in significant improvements in the proportion of patients receiving guideline-advocated medication at optimal dose, highlighting the importance of providing support to healthcare providers to improve the quality of care for patients with HF in general practice.
