dc.description.abstract

This qualitative study explored the polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) diagnosis experiences of 20 Western Australian women. It expanded the PCOS body of knowledge by providing women living with the condition a voice, capturing both metropolitan, rural, and remote settings. Findings highlighted the difficult and frustrating journey to diagnosis and point to improving diagnosis experiences through better supporting and collaborating with women using a multidisciplinary team approach and raising community awareness.
