This Ph.D. thesis studied the naval dimension of the triadic great power contest between the U.S., Russia, and China. It offers several insights and novelties, including conceptual framework for theoretical integration in understanding the naval dimension of a hegemonic contest. In the policy dimension, the thesis offers an analytical formula to objectively measure the naval power of states -beyond simple hull counts- titled the Naval Power Index (NPI) and its related formulas. | en_US |
