dc.description.abstract

Impaired hearing in the context of diabetes is a serious dysfunction of the auditory organ that develops and progresses in diabetic patients but is yet overlooked by many health practitioners. Early diagnosis is beneficial in preventing the deteriorating impact of diabetes on the auditory function. However, therapeutic options for such an internal organ are still limited and approved targeted pharmaceutical delivery to the inner ear is yet to be developed and improved.
