Abstract
This study explores palm-based biodiesel mud as an eco-friendly alternative to diesel-based drilling fluids. Experimental analysis showed that palm-based mud exhibited comparable rheological properties, lower fluid loss, and better density stability, making it a viable substitute. Economic evaluation revealed a lower production cost and promising investment potential. Thermal stability tests affirmed its suitability across different temperatures. The findings highlight palm-based biodiesel mud as a sustainable, cost-effective solution for reducing environmental impact in drilling operations.
