Abstract
This thesis investigates the tectonothermal evolution of the Fraser Zone, Western Australia using a multiple geochronometer investigation coupled with phase equilibria modelling. Combined, this strategic method suite illustrated the complex metamorphic and geologic history of the region as well as identifying previously unknown basement controls on the evolution of the Fraser Zone. Furthermore, the use of multiple geochronometers produced a definite timeline from peak metamorphism to exhumation of this Proterozoic orogen.
