    Abstract

    The legislation dealing with mines safety laws in Western Australia changed quite dramatically in the 1990's.This article provides an overview of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act 1994 (WA) and describes the main features of the current legislation and some of the legal cases that have arisen from it.
