dc.description.abstract

An experimental investigation is made into the phenomenon of a bore wave produced between the hulls of a high-speedcatamaran in shallow open water. The shape of this wave is analysed, along with the speed range over which it is likely to occur. Similarities are noticed with a monohull moving close to a wall, or on the centreline of a channel.
