dc.description.abstract

The land use transport interaction model is the major framework used in understanding the integration of land use and transport. However, there remains a lack of a spatial economic dimension in the framework. This research aims to model train ridership, incorporating the influence of agglomeration involving spatial economic transport interactions. The model results may be useful in understanding the land use and socioeconomic impacts of transit development and for prioritising transit orientation development (TOD) strategies.
