Silicon (100) surfaces modified by osmium bipyridine complexes
MetadataShow full item record
Tethered osmium bypiridine-pyridine complexes [Os(bpy)2Clpy-R] were prepared from chemically modified non-oxidized silicon (100) electrodes. Pyridinyl groups at the distal end of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs)-modified silicon surfaces were used to coordinatively bind a representative osmium bipyridil complex precursor [Os(bpy)2Cl2]. SAMs presenting the putative osmium ligand were prepared by a step-wise procedure using click reactions of acetylene-terminated alkyl monolayers and isonicotinic acid azide derivatives. The redox properties of the modified Si(100) electrodes were characterized using cyclic voltammetry. © 2010 IEEE.

Re-Os geochronology and isotope systematics of the Tanami, Tennant Creek and Olympic Dam Cu-Au depositsMcInnes, Brent; Keays, R.; Lambert, D.; Hellstrom, J.; Allwood, J. (2008)The 187Re-187Os system can determine directly the age of formation of ore deposits and can characterise the isotopic provenance of metals in ore systems. We report rhenium-osmium (Re-Os) isotope data from the Callie gold ...

A novel Osmium-based compound targets the mitochondria and triggers ROS-dependent apoptosis in colon carcinomaMaillet, A.; Yadav, S.; Loo, Y.; Sachaphibulkij, K.; Pervaiz, Shazib (2013)Engagement of the mitochondrial-death amplification pathway is an essential component in chemotherapeutic execution of cancer cells. Therefore, identification of mitochondria-targeting agents has become an attractive ...
