dc.description.abstract

Seismic methods are not utilised in mineral exploration in accordance with their exceptional imaging power, primarily because of their high cost compared to the conventional gravity, magnetic, and electrical methods. Similarly, only a small component of information contained in 3D hard rock seismic data is used in conventional interpretation. In this thesis, seismic volumetric interpretation approach has been adapted to improve targeting of deep and complex ore bodies from 3D seismic data.
