Abstract
Variable fractional delay filters allow the delay of a filter to be varied continuously over an interval without the need to redesign the filter. A popular structure to implement these filters is the Farrow structure. This thesis presents further insights into the design of weighted least squares Farrow variable fractional delay filters. It also presents a numerically more efficient method to design weighted minimax Farrow variable fractional delay filters.
