dc.description.abstract

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are major pollutants in degrading the quality of stormwater. This study focused on improving the performances of constructed wetlands for PAHs removal by introducing bed materials and plants. The performances of environmental parameters and solubilisation enhancement of PAHs with organic solvents and various types of surfactants, which increase the biodegradability of PAHs is also evaluated. The outcome of this research would assist in the sustainable management of urban stormwater.
