dc.description.abstract

© 2016 SEG. A new efficient algorithm of extracting Thomsen's anisotropy parameters as well as the orientation of the symmetry axis of transversely isotropic media from P-wave VSP data is presented. The algorithm has been successfully applied to data acquired within the CO2CRC Otway project, Otway basin, Australia.
