Isogeometric shell formulation based on a classical shell model
MetadataShow full item record
We study a Reissner-Mindlin shell formulation for NURBS-based isogeometric analysis. The formulation is based on a shell model which utilizes curvilinear coordinates and analytic integration thorough the thickness. We examine the accuracy of the approach in the pinched cylinder benchmark problem and present comparisons against the h-version of FEM with bilinear elements. The analysis is performed with the PetIGA and igakit software packages. © Civil-Comp Press, 2012.

Minimum and Complete Fluidization Velocity for Sand-Palm Shell Mixtures, Part I: Fluidization Behavior and Characteristic VelocitiesChok, Vui; Gorin, Alexander; Chua, Han (2010)Problem statement: Palm shell on its original state cannot be fluidized solely. However, mixing palm shell with a second fluidizable material can facilitate proper fluidization. Approach: The minimum and complete fluidization ...
Experimental study of a compartmented fluidized bed gasifier for fuel gas production from oil palm shell biomassChok, Vui Soon (2011)Both experimental study of pilot plant scale cold flow model and pilot plant performance testing were carried out in this research with particular reference to palm shell as a biomass feedstock. The reactor was based on ...
Tsigklifis, Konstantinos; Pelekasis, N. (2013)Under insonation contrast agents are known to perform nonlinear pulsations and deform statically, in the form of buckling, or dynamically via parametric mode excitation, and often exhibit jetting and break-up like bubbles ...
