    Abstract

© 2017 Praise Worthy Prize S.r.l. -All rights reserved. This paper proposes the shuffled frog leaping algorithm (SFLA) to fine tune a proportional-integral (PI) controller in a load frequency control (LFC) system with time delay. The SFLA code is built using MATLAB environment. The effectiveness of the SFLA-PI controller is compared with that obtained using a genetic algorithm-based PI controller. The validity of the proposed controller is extensively validated by the simulation results that are carried out using PSCAD/EMTDC program.
