Abstract
© The Royal Society of Chemistry 2015. Submerged aquatic leaf structures with two layers of epidermis tissue for light focusing and trapping, and spongy tissue for light scattering were introduced as templates to fabricate photocatalysts. The artificial TiO2leaf microreactors showed better photocatalytic efficiency than aquatic leaf with three layers structures, over 7 times larger than that of nanocrystalline of TiO2.
