dc.description.abstract

© 2018 SEG. Seismic survey designs are often compared using a variety of different displays. For shallow depths survey attributes, such as fold, can change rapidly. Thus, when designing surveys for shallow targets we need to evaluate not only different designs but also different target depths. Doing so using attribute plots is therefore rather unwieldy. In this paper I derive a set of metrics that can be used to easily compare shallow 3D survey designs.
