    Abstract

Creases is a nineteen-piece capsule collection, designed to draw attention to the quality of the textiles used. Creases, folds, imperfections and references to raw materials are all expressed through intricate hand embroidery patterns and bold appliqué graphics. Rather than relying on an additional written narrative, the garments reference themselves. This collection was produced under Bhalo, a fashion label that worked with fair trade organisations in rural Bangladesh to create limited edition garments using hand woven fabrics, printing & embroidery. Creases was exhibited as part of the Clean Cut Runway for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia 2015, and the Designer Showcase Runway for Telstra Perth Fashion Festival 2015.
