    Abstract

Palm oil Fuel ash (POFA) are utilize to produce high technology material in Metal Matrix Composites. Using stir casting method, the experiment resulted in an enforced Mechanical and tribological properties of the Aluminium 6061(AL6061) when fabricated with 5vol. % of POFA. The tensile strength is improved when applying POFA size of 76µm<d<150µm. Meanwhile, an increased impact, hardness and coefficient of friction(COF), with the least weight loss were reported when size <75µm POFA particles were used.
