Superannuation reform has been a hotly contested issue leading up to the reforms that were introduced with effect from 2017. Helen Hodgson will review the underlying policy of the superannuation system, and the reasons for the reforms that were introduced last year. She will discuss the new requirements arising from those reforms and the effect of those changes on the members of superannuation funds. Finally, Helen will look at the whether the changes will improve equity in the superannuation system, particularly with reference to the gender superannuation gap. | |
